Bivouac at Lake Hourquette - Summer 2024

This happened to us this summer. We went hiking for two days with a bivouac at Lac de la Hourquette. Everything was going very well until 2 a.m. when the storm hit us. Not heavy rain but lightning galore! A real discotheque. We were very, very scared. Notably, one of the lightning bolts probably fell less than 50 meters from us, making the ground shake, as loud as possible. We'll check the weather twice haha. But other than that the hike was incredible.
